Studio of the Month, May: Greg Benz Photography

Full-time marketer, part-time teacher, and all around great photographer, Greg Benz Photography is May’s Studio of the Month.

Excelling in everything he shoots, Greg photographs a wide variety of subjects from weddings, and portraits, to landscapes. Having visited over 45 countries and counting, Greg is a very experienced traveler. He started his photography business two years ago and hasn’t slowed down since.

Being a part-time pro, Greg splits his time between working and creating works of art while traveling the world. While people fell in love with his landscape images, they are not his favorite subject matter; instead, Greg prefers portraiture. He likes the artistic challenge of capturing people and communicating their stories through photographs. Their emotion and passion is what Greg strives for when taking a portrait shot and we’d say he gets it!

Since Greg is only a part-time pro, he doesn’t have time to go into long and extensive marketing campaigns. His main business comes from word-of-mouth and for this reason he always tries to offer something small so his clients can take it with them to show off. He has found this as a great way drum up new clients.

While the larger sized canvases will earn him more money, the smaller ones are more likely to travel outside the home and lead interested customers right back to him!
